Features

Everything large communities need

Every module can be switched on or off per group.

A word filter with judgement

Matches whole words, not fragments – “class” won’t trigger “ass”. Choose a reaction per word; with several hits, the strictest one wins.

  • DELETE
  • WARN
  • REPORT
  • KICK
  • BAN
  • BANGLOBAL

Link blocker

Removes links from users without permission – including hidden text links. Trusted members get link permission with one tap.

Global bans

One command bans an account from every group in the instance. If it tries again, the bot declines automatically.

Join requests

The bot can approve new members automatically – banned accounts never.

Admin levels 0–10

Moderators, admins, owners: rights are applied in all groups automatically – titles included.

Welcome & rules

A custom welcome per group with placeholders. Old greetings are cleaned up automatically.

Log and report group

Everything the bot does lands in a log group of your choice: joins, name changes, removed messages, bans. Reports via /report go to a separate report group – with a direct link to the message.

Cleans up after itself

Bot notices and menus disappear after a configurable time. Join/leave messages instantly, if you like.

The instance concept

Many groups,
one control room

An instance is your group network. Admins, black- and whitelist, bans and warnings apply to every group inside. Set it up once – every new group inherits it all with one tap.

  • Shared admins with automatic permissions
  • One black-/whitelist for every group
  • User log with warnings, notes and bans
  • Send messages to all groups with /forward

Setup

Ready in five minutes

  1. Start the bot

Open @BetterGroupHelperBot, send /start and tap “Request privileges”.

  2. Add it to your group

Add the bot as admin – with “Delete messages”, “Ban users” and “Invite users”. Not anonymous.

  3. Create an instance

Send /settings in the group and choose “Create instance”. The group is added automatically.

  4. Turn on Listen mode

In “Group modules”, enable Listen mode and the modules you want. Without Listen mode the bot stays passive.

  5. Fine-tune

Add blacklist words, pick log and report groups, assign admin levels. More groups: add the bot → “Add to my instance”.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

The bot doesn’t react – what now?

Usually Listen mode is off. Open /settings → “Group modules” and enable it. Also check that the bot is admin and you are not posting as an anonymous admin.

What do the admin levels mean?

0 = requested, 1–5 = moderator (1+ delete/warn, 2+ mute, 3+ ban, 5+ menu), 6–9 = admin with full Telegram rights, 10 = instance owner. Nobody can manage someone with the same or a higher level.

What happens with a global ban?

The account is banned from every group in the instance right away. If a new group is added or the account posts in a public group, the bot removes it automatically. Join requests are declined.

Does the bot read every message?

Only in groups with Listen mode on, and only to apply filters. Content is not stored permanently – except in log and report messages the bot sends to your own groups. Details in the privacy policy.

Can I migrate from another bot?

Yes. Word lists can be imported – just ask in the Support-Chat.

Are there usage rules?

Yes: no illegal content – in particular no child sexual abuse material. Such groups are blocked and reported.

Ready for calmer groups?

Add the bot, send /settings, done.
